Miss Shams operated on my eyes in May 2025 and the result is even better than I had hoped. It is now August 2025
I had drooping upper eyelids and some fatty deposits above the eyes with one eye worse than the other. The drooping particularly in my right eye was becoming uncomfortable as if it needed propping open.
From my first consultation Miss Shams was warm, sympathetic and very clear in her explanations of both the process and the expected outcome.
Her explanation on aftercare and all the administration needed for a surgical procedure was timely and clearly communicated.
All medications were supplied, again with precise instructions.
There was minimal discomfort other than itching as the stitches started to heal.
Miss Shams is hugely experienced, highly qualified and it shows.
An excellent surgeon and I would recommend her to anyone who is considering eyes surgery. She doesn't "sell" anything to her patient and allows time for all questions no matter how trivial they may seem.

Pari has given me a new sense of confidence. Excellent surgeon, excellent results - cannot recommend her more highly. I had a mild case of ptosis which had worsened during chemotherapy. I’m so pleased with the outcome and wish I had done it sooner.

Ms Shams has an excellent consultation manner where she achieves both professionalism and friendliness. Her description of surgery required is clear and precise. No question too small or irrelevant. My surgery (removal of Xanthelasma on both eyes upper & lower lids plus Blepharoplasty to both eyes) was carried out in a timely painless way. Aftercare was clearly explained with medication provided for such. Stitch removal was equally a smooth pain free experience. Personally I couldn’t have chosen a more approachable, competent, professional surgeon. I am 100% delighted with my treatment and care received, can’t recommend highly enough.

Both of my twins had paediatric lower eyelid entropion correction surgery with Dr Shams, my son at the age of three, and my daughter at seven. We first met her five years ago, and the care she provided back then left such a deep impression that when the same condition appeared in my daughter, I had no hesitation returning to her. I was a bit worried at first that European doctors might have a different sense of aesthetics for asian eyes, but that worry turned out to be completely unnecessary. She really understands how to make the result look natural and beautiful.
Dr Shams is not only professional, she is gentle and reassuring with children. She takes time to explain the procedure in a way that puts both parents and children at ease, and she maintains clear communication throughout the whole process.
It’s rare to find a doctor who has such a high level of technical expertise and at the same time also genuine empathy and warmth. I am truly grateful for the care she has given my children, and I cannot recommend her highly enough.

Dr Shams performed lower blepharoplasty on me back in March and I couldn’t be happier with the entire experience and outcome. From the very first consultation, Dr. Shams was professional, kind and incredibly knowledgeable. She took the time to answer all of my questions and made me feel completely at ease throughout the process.
The results of the surgery are phenomenal and very natural. Prior to surgery, I was extremely insecure of my under eye bags (which I’ve had from a very young age due to genetics). I had visited a number of other consultants before contacting Dr Shams in search of a doctor I could truly trust. From the very first consultation, it was clear she was an exceptional surgeon. Her approach was highly professional, and she conducted a thorough and in-depth assessment that immediately set her apart. I had really terrible under eye bags and upper lid hooding since I was in my mid 30’s and I finally decided I had had enough. I started doing my research on the best Oculoplastic surgeons in London. I arranged consultations with the top 3 people I found and Miss Shams was the very first person I met. I knew someone who had surgery with her before and told me how amazing she was. I was planning on having just my lower lids done however, Miss Shams told me that I would get a much better result having both upper and lower. She spent over an hour with me, talking me through the surgery, the complications that could occur and explaining the results I would get. I knew straight away that I would choose her to be my surgeon not only because I knew of her incredible surgical skills but also because I am very much a believer in good energy (which she has in abundance) and gut instinct. I followed my pre op advice to the T and my surgery went without any issues. Post op, I would describe the first week or so as being uncomfortable but I was never in pain. My bruising was minimal and I healed extremely quickly. This was due to the advice of Miss Shams. She called and messaged me to check I was ok. She genuinely cares about her patients which is actually quite rare. I am now 3 months post op and am blown away with how good my eyes look! It is life changing for someone who would rarely look in the mirror because she hated her eyes so much. I cannot recommend Miss Shams enough. I did not take having surgery on my face lightly. I also have anxiety, as most people do, in hospitals but I had complete faith in her and her surgical team. I will be forever grateful that I met her and chose her. She is remarkable. For anyone thinking of using her, I would be happy to have a call with you beforehand as I found this extremely helpful before my procedure.

Following a serious fall I was left with an open wound below my right eye, eye brow and severed tear duct. After two days I was finally admitted to Moorfields, by which time I was convinced I would be scarred for life and have a constantly weeping eye.
I didn't know then that I would be operated on by Pari Shams. With amazing skill she repaired the delicate skin below the eye without the need for a skin graft. Rejoined the tear duct and stitched the eye brow.
When I met her after the operation I was impressed by her friendly and kind manner. The operation was a complete success without scars or visible evidence of the extensive work Pari had done.
Pari Shams has gone on to do another procedure on the left eye lid, again with exceptional results.
The Fall was very unfortunate, but I can't believe my luck to have met someone who I feel must be one of the finest surgeons. I will be forever grateful and thoroughly recommend her.

Having had a very nasty, potentially disfiguring, cut on my eye, I feared the worst, but Miss Shams totally reassured me and performed an excellent repair job! Dr Pari shams, fixed my eye that signature clinic messed up, for 1 year I had a surgery induced ectropian due to bad eye surgery before made by dr alfie at signiture clinic. I made an appointment with Miss Shams to discuss eyelid surgery for what I thought were drooping eyelids which affected me seeing objects above my head. After thoroughly assessing my eyelids, Miss Shams told me that the treatment that I needed was a simpler procedure (and presumably lower cost) than the procedure I had imagined I needed. Miss Shams explained my surgery options in detail both verbally, and via a follow up email to help me understand the process.
The follow up care after surgery has been superb and Miss Shams has made herself available both through email and a telephone call to allay any concerns I had about my self-care. My all-round vision has dramatically improved; I can see the ceiling without raising my eyebrows or looking up, and it feels like every day is brighter. The improvement in vision has been wonderful and the procedure has also improved the psychological effects associated with growing older The surgery has erased more than 21 years from my face (I compared photos) and I now look like I am in my 40s again.
If you have ever thought about an eye lift, I can totally recommend Miss Shams who has worked her magic on my eyelids. Seeing pictures from 2003 side by side with today in 2024 has made me realise what a difference she has made to my entire face, and I am so grateful for the improvement in my peripheral vision.

For many years I kept thinking of doing the Blepharoplasty procedure on both of my eyes. Even though my glasses partially conceal my eyebags. When ever I look at myself in the mirror, I never felt comfortable with the fact that they are there, and they seem to be getting bigger every year.
When I visit my Consultant Miss Peri Sham, she confidently answered all my question which range from potential risk to the expected outcome post operation. Since my eyebags were extensive on both eyes, my expectation before the consultation was most of them will be removed. However, Miss Sham explains to me in detail how she is going to completely remove all my eyebags, which was surprising and also exciting for me.
During and after post-surgery, I can see that Miss Sham has done an exceptionally incredible job. All of my eyebags has completely disappeared and there is no scaring, I even looked 10 years younger. Miss Pari Shams operated on me back in December and I could not be more thankful or happier with the results !
After being passed around multiple doctors and surgeons being told by many that there wasn’t anything to be done or not feeling comfortable to do so; I found Miss Pari Shams, she was absolutely fantastic, for the first time in a long time I felt heard and understood regarding my concerns
It has now been almost 3 months post Op, any remaining swelling has completely gone and I no longer have a dull pressure in my right eye, or does my eye feel restricted in any way or bother me during the day- Straight after the surgery myself and everyone of my colleagues and clients were incredibly surprised by how little swelling and discolouration there was, you wouldn’t have been able to tell anything had been done - I am beyond thankful for her incredible work and so grateful to have found her, should I ever have any concerns in the future I will be straight back to Miss Shams as I just wouldn’t trust anyone else the same

I saw Ms Shams in August 23 for initial consultation at Moorfield Hospital. She explained the procedure, recovery time and possible risks. All of my questions were answered.
I went for right upper eyelid surgery on 18th of September 23. Ms Shams was so kind and compassionate. Everything went so smooth. I took the bandage off next day. I was surprised to see how cleaned my eye was. I had light swelling which was gone down in couple of days. Follow up appointment was through!
She did a brilliant job. Im so delighted with the results and no scaring. She didn't fall short on any step. I would highly recommend her!

I have had weak eyelid muscles all my life (inherited from my dad) and hadn’t really appreciated how much they restricted my vertical vision range. Recently however they were getting worse, to the extent that I had to tilt my head back slightly in order to look directly forward.
Following an initial consultation with Ms Pari Shams I underwent a surgical procedure to address this - “Bilateral upper eyelid ptosis repair using silicone brow suspension” It was performed under local anaesthetic and a day case. I have to be honest I had all sorts of (probably irrational) fears about this - given it was only local anaesthetic would I be awake during the whole operation? would I see what was happening? etc. All these fears were ungrounded and although I had to be conscious for the final part of the surgery it wasn’t anything like the nightmare I thought it might be.
Through all the pre- and post-operative time I have really appreciated the care shown me by Ms Pari Shams, and am delighted with the results of the operation. I have noticed a significant improvement in my vision and field of vision, and also the way I look to other people (despite some expected swelling initially).
My daughter and others have commented on how they can now see my eyes (for almost the first time) and can now tell that I am paying attention to them and not just falling asleep!
I have had an uneventful post-operative recovery, with my eyes being comfortable with no light sensitivity, discharge or dryness (though the world has seemed a brighter place since it was done).
I can really say that the improvement has been life changing, and again would like to thank Ms Shams for the care and attention she has (and is continuing) to give me.

I saw Dr. Shams at Moorfields for ptosis correction. My whole experience has been incredible. The surgery was quick and painless but what was more impressive was how quickly I noticed the results. Post surgery I was stunned at how clean and neat my eye looked, swelling and bruising was minimal. I took painkillers only twice post surgery which must be unheard of! 2 weeks later with the stitches now removed I have some minor swelling still but zero bruising. Thank you to Dr Shams and the amazing team at Moorfields Croydon. This has exceeded all my expectations. I would 100% recommend Dr Shams. Thank you so much.

I’m incredibly grateful to Miss Shams! I was suffering significantly and after all the ophthalmologists I saw, she was the only one that helped towards a correct diagnosis. I found her to be very attentive, a critical thinker, and proactive. My only criticism would be a lack of warmth. However, over the many doctors I have seen in recent years, including surgeries, I’ve realised that the best doctors are not always the ones that come across as the friendliest; I appreciated her skilled directness. I came to see Dr Shams, because the Moorfields Eye hospital has a world renowned reputation of excellence. The experience with Dr Shams did not fall short of that. Dr Shams explained the procedure in detail to me in a professional and personable fashion. I never felt like a mere “number” like so many times before with other doctors. The result of the surgery is excellent and the care throughout by Dr Shams and her colleagues was excellent as well. My friends with a background in medicine -surgeons themselves- all told me, what a good “job” Dr Shams had done. I suffered almost no bruising or swelling and had zero complications. I would recommend Dr Shams without any hesitations.

I recently had surgery to correct ptosis on one of my eyelids. The initial consultation was very informative and Dr Shams was confident regarding a positive outcome however she also made sure my expectations were realistic. Prior to the operation I was worried about the results but I can now say that I am so so pleased and happy with the outcome, I would recommend primarily her skill but also her kind and friendly manner.

Dr Shams has been my ophthalmologist since the start of 2020. Following an issue with my eye, Pari was extremely quick to arrange tests and follow up consultations with her so that a diagnosis could be reached. This made all the difference in terms of the speed with which I received treatment. Since then she has regularly been treating me to ensure comfort and longevity in my vision. On the 5th march 2022 I underwent surgery on both my upper eyelids. From the first consultation with Miss Pari Shams I found her to be kind, friendly and very professional. She quickly dispelled any anxiety I had. I had an appointment for surgery 2 weeks later. On the day surgery went very smoothly Miss Shams and her team inspired confidence and made me very comfortable.
The results are fantastic! I am so glad I had it done. I didn't experience any post operative problems and her aftercare was very thorough. I would strongly recommend Miss.Shams to anyone. Thank you very, very much!

I highly recommend and have full trust and confidence in Miss Shams. She has performed several eyelid surgical procedures on me and I would not want to see anyone else.
She has always clearly explained the procedures, risks and charges. I am extremely satisfied with the results of her work. We saw Miss Shams privately after being seen on the NHS as we did not want to wait 3 months for a second appointment/possible treatment. We were delighted to get an appointment with her the next day and were able to have a minor procedure performed too. We were initially quite nervous but Miss Shams was extremely reassuring, patient, kind and caring throughout both visits we made. She juggled her diary around twice to accommodate us. I have been going to Dr Pari Shams for approximately 2 years with my partner and her advice, guidance and support has always been precise , thought through and overall excellent. “I thought about having upper blepharoplasty for two years and during this time I fully researched the treatment. I wanted to have the procedure carried out by a surgeon who only operated on the eye area rather than a general cosmetic surgeon. I also wanted to have my treatment at Moorefields, again because the hospital only specialises in eye care.
I found Ms Pari Shams very warm and reassuring as well as extremely professional. She answered all of my questions thoroughly and listened carefully to my hopes for the treatment result. I was very keen that I look natural after the procedure (I would rather have more work done in 7 or 10 years time than look startled now). She took all of this on board and really understood me.
The first photo was taken the day before my surgery. As you can see my upper eyelids looked heavy and I felt that they made me look tired. I wanted them to feel lighter and for my upper eyelashes to be more prominent rather than hidden by the crease of my lid.
On the day of my operation (mid June 2023), I discussed the possibility of not being sedated. I knew that the local anaesthetic would prevent the operation being uncomfortable and thought that perhaps it was unnecessary, but after a discussion with both Ms Shams and the very kind anaesthetist I took their advice and was given a mild sedation. I was comfortable and relaxed throughout the procedure and able to speak to Ms Shams when I wanted to.
After the operation, which I think took around an hour, I was wheeled back to my room with patches over my eyes that felt reassuringly firm. After an hour the nurse removed my patches and a light meal was brought to me and soon after husband came to collect me.
That evening Ms Shams phoned me at home to ask how I felt and to make sure that I fully understood how to look after my eyes. I told her I had had a bit of a headache when I got back from the hospital and took paracetamol, she said that was just from the anaesthetic and I shouldn’t feel any more pain, she was absolutely correct, my eyes didn’t ever hurt. Ms Shams called again the second evening to check on my and told me I could contact her any time if I was concerned.
The second photo was taken two weeks post op and the third was taken today at the end of September (3 months post op).
I am absolutely delighted with my lovely new look. They look very natural, brighter and younger. Strangely, the thing that I enjoy most is the larger field of vision that the procedure has given me, which makes me feel younger too!
